Born September 20, 1988 in Charlotte, North Carolina, pro golfer Corey Nagy is on the cusp of an impressive golf career. Sports play a huge role in his life, and he’s a fan of the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Bobcats, and the Golden State Warriors. His favorite athletes to watch are Kobe Bryant, Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, and Rafael Nadal. Nagy is poised to make a real name for himself on the golf circuit in the coming years. He’s already achieved many milestones, and his future looks extremely bright.

Instructed by Scott Lefevre, Corey set the UNC-Charlotte single season scoring average of 70.61 in the 2009-10 Season. During his time at UNC-Charlotte, Nagy was a two-time Atlantic-10 Conference Student-Athlete-of-the-Year and a two-time Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-American Scholar. Corey was also a member of the 2010 United States Palmer Cup Team and a 2010 Byron Nelson Award Finalist. He capped of his collegiate career as a four-time All-American, including second-team honors as a senior in 2010.

Corey turned professional in 2010, and was a medalist at the PGA TOUR Q-School Pre-Qualifier that year. With thee eGolf Tour victories in 2011, Nagy captured the 2011 eGolf Tour money title. He secured full Tour status for the 2012 season by finishing T63 at PGA TOUR Q-School, and he will also play a full schedule on the Tour in 2013.

Corey’s dad, Steve, and mom, Debra, have always supported his golf aspirations. He has two sisters, Lauren and Lindsay. To stay focused on his game, Corey never travels without his iPod; he loves hip-hop music. He always marks his ball with a 1988 quarter, and he carries M&Ms and Goldfish Crackers in his golf bag as snacks.
